Great little grill
Bought this for use in our RV, so storage size and portability were factors. Normally only two of us to cook for so this purchase was also by design because of that. Heats up fast, including at high altitudes where other grills and charcoal fail. Cools off and cleans up quickly and easily. I only have one critical concern: the fuel control valve should have a locking device on it to prevent accidentally turning on the gas. The knob is sensitive to pressure and got bumped into the on position and drained the tank. I noticed the iced over tank and found the knob had been knocked into the on position. While being nothing more than an inconvenience at that moment because I had plenty of extra tanks, it does pose a safety concern. When at a camp site for several days, users will not remove the bottle after each use; therefore, a knob locking device would have prevented this from happening, and a potential explosive incident. Otherwise, this grill is perfect for what I need it for.WAS2
Every bit the grill as our old Spirit
My 9 year old son expressed an interest in grilling and was doing OK on our old spirit. I decided to get this so that he could work a little more easily and possibly with more even heat and a more reliable thermometer. This grill has completely lived up the the reviews. We’ve used it regularly since purchase. The heat seems very evenly distributed, the drip pan is in a great spot so that my dogs dont try to get into it. With the lid down, there is awesome heat retention. We have even used an iron skillet on the grill to make taco filling! The grates, while not iron, are durable and easily cleaned. With a stand and cover and the conversion kit, this grill is plenty effective as a stand alone cooking platform on a back porch or patio but still offers the convenience of being portable if necessary with a small propane bottle. One of my favorite features is the fold in side boards...they are sturdy enough when grilling and then fold in once the grill cools for a small profile on a smaller porch.CaleP
Awesome little grill
I've had my Q1200 for about a year now. The igniter and heavy grates are a nice upgrade from my old Weber portable. Best of all, when I started having issues with it not getting hot enough, Weber sent me a new pressure regulator no charge in about two days. Their customer service is outstanding!Flymeister

It's cold outside in Minnesota, so haven't tried it out yet, but looking forward to spring so we can use itDennis69
