Save me a lot of cooking time
I have never owned a gas grill till now. I have used charcoal and a chimney starter for over thirty years and this grill does save me a lot of time. This assembly is much easier if you have two people to carry the box where it needs to be set up. I got home and it was at my gate, the box had some damage to it, so I was not sure of the condition of the grill itself. I opened the box and transported the pieces to my deck for assembly. My grill did not come with assembly instructions, so a quick search from their website and downloaded the instructions. It took me about an hour to assembly the grill. I did have to have a small ballpeen hammer on hand to straighten out a few bent pieces, luckily they are not visible. Assembly was a breeze and I had to purchase a cylinder of propane, I took a few of the parts the would come in contact with the food and gave them a quick wash with a mild detergent and let them dry. After purging the air from the system and allowing the grill to heat up and burn off any assembly residue, on went the meat. I had to experiment with the burners to get to my heat that I needed and then it stayed at that temperature without having to make a lot of adjustments. If we want a quick meal, turn it on let it sit for about ten minutes and start cooking. Everything came off the grill evenly cooked and was quite tasty. I love the large control knobs on the front, very easy to operate for my size hands. Clean up was very easy as shown by the side burner, it came in handy for the beans. Can't complain about anything on the grill, other than no assembly instructions. Waiting on Memorial day weekend to really run it through it's paces.Conduit
Many features, lightweight
The Expert Grill 5 Burner Gas Grill with Side Burner is very easy to assemble with very good instructions. It took about 3 hours to assemble. This grill is quite big, but it is not bulky. The parts are very lightweight, so I rated durability a "4". This attractive grill looks regal on my deck! I'm not crazy about using propane, but my husband says it is so much quicker and easier than the charcoal grills. There are 5 stainless steel burners on top of the grill as well as another stainless steel burner on the side for side dishes. All of the cooking grates are heavy duty cast iron. There is a removable drip tray under the burners in the compartment that holds the propane. The easy-to-use dials make it extremely easy to operate the grill, as simple as your kitchen oven. Clean up is a breeze with the easy to remove drip pan, the removal casters that can be cleaned and stored, and the stainless steel lid. The only item you need to make this complete is a nice cover.mamislade
Quality grill!
We have never been grillers. Oh sure, we have had several small charcoal grills in our 57 years of wedded bliss and decades ago I vaguely remember a Coleman stove we had when we took the kids camping but never anything like this beauty. I understand that it is at the low end price-wise of grills but we can't image how one could be much better even if you paid more. Assembly did take over 3 hours and my husband is good at that kind of work but he was very impressed with the parts. All were precision made and fit perfectly. The instructions left much to be desired, no words, only pictures. Guess that saves in translation but all in all followabel for him. He did say that the assembly video on the Walmart site about this grill was very good and a help to him. One hint, the picture 26 in the installation manual is upside down. Took a bit for him to figure that out but he did. After the last piece was put in place and the gas hooked up he turned on the burners and they worked like a charm. Perfectly. The four hotdogs that we had for our first meal looked rather lonely on that giant surface but we filled it a little more in the evening with ground steak patties and sauteed vegetable. We are enjoying our grill and if you get one I am sure you will too. It is quality made.ljm1
